Caniapiscau Réservoir Expéditions

The Caniapiscau Reservoir is the largest body of water in Quebec. It is virtually an unexplored body of water offering a great potential for catching huge Lake trout, landlocked salmon and/or northern pike. Each year more and more tourists make there way all the way up the trans taiga road to the end of the road at km 666 which takes you to one of the most remote and secluded areas in North America and ends at a float plane base at Lac Pau. The project aims at introducing a new fishing adventure package where anglers could choose between one of two packages offered.

Chibougamau Adventure
Region: Baie-James
Chibougamau Aventure is a package and guides service company specializing in “snowbike” and off-piste snowmobiling. It also offers mountain bike rental in summer. Its project aims to provide tourists with atypical accommodation (domes) and the rental of jet skis.

Cree Nation of Chisasibi
Region: Eeyou Istchee
The project consists of organizing a visit to Chisasibi, in particular by going to meet the community and discovering the Cultural and Heritage Center. Visitors can take the time to interact with locals and artisans, tour the old village of Fort George, and stop at the bay.

Nunawild
Region: Nunavik
Nunawild aims at developing a world-class ecotourism infrastructure for northern travel fans and wildlife photographers. The project includes boat trips on the Koksoak River, historical tours of selected sites using a comfortable and safe tour boat, and eco-cultural Inuit tours by dog sled.
FRENCH ACCELERATION PATHWAY
Attitude nordique plein air
Region: Côte-Nord
Attitude nordique offers various packages allowing its clientele to taste and appreciate the products specific to the region during outdoor activities such as sea kayaking, "paddleboarding" and zipline. The project consists of fitting out a chalet with sanitary block and drinking water, adding climbing as a new 4-season activity, adding a floating dock, renovating the trails and developing winter accommodation and kayaking.

Damville Outfitting

The Pourvoirie Damville project targets an international clientele looking for travel, discovery, immersion and experiences, all in a setting offering a high standard of quality. Services will focus on wilderness life and winter activities will be added to the tourist offer to accommodate visitors on an annual basis.

Les gérances de la horde sauvage
Region: Côte-Nord
Les gérances de la horde sauvage offers 5-day European fishing trips with release for trout (red or gray) and pike landlocked salmon, on sites accessible only by seaplane. The project aims to improve and isolate the reception camps for snowmobilers and ice fishermen, as well as to rebuild new camps where others burned down more than 20 years ago, which made cease exploitation of this sector, known for trophy landlocked salmon fishing.

Mushuau-nipi Corporation

The Mushuau-nipi Corporation is aimed at both tourists and locals seeking authenticity in the practical teaching of their culture and language. Such an immersive stay with a First Nation of North America, in the millennial tradition of a nomadic camp in the middle of the country, has no equivalent in this corner of the world. The project aims to put in place the optimal conditions for the Corporation to further deploy its mission and to reach a stage of commercialization that maximizes the customer experience as well as the management and profitability of the company.

Nabisipi Uenapeu Outfitting

The Nabisipi Uenapeu outfitter, located in an ancestral Innu territory, offers fly fishing trips for Atlantic salmon. The project aims to make the outfitter eco-responsible thanks to its electrification, to build accommodation for recreotourism and to increase the reception capacity of the outfitter.

Aanischaaukamikw Cree Culture Institute
Region: Eeyou Istchee
The Aanischaaukamikw Cree Cultural Institute is the regional cultural institution of Eeyou Istchee (museum, library, educational center and performing arts center). The project aims to develop the organization, their potential to attract more visitors and further develop their product in order to reach other markets.

Broadback Outfitting
Region: Eeyou Istchee
The Broadback outfitting wishes to improve the experience at its fishing camp in preparation for the inauguration of the future Assinica National Park, and to highlight emerging Aboriginal tourism. The opportunities and benefits that create the robustness and prosperity of the Broadback Fishing Camp lie at the intersection of emerging Indigenous tourism, linked to the future Assinica National Park and other tourism realities in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region.

Etua’s Arctic Adventures
Region: Nunavik
The project aims at offering Arctic char and salmon fishing experiences, and to revive ecotourism and adventure tours to bring Canadian and international tourism back to Nunavik: a combination of kayak and boat trips in Ungava Bay to visit unique places such as Akpotek Island, and Arctic wildlife viewing. Social media will be used for promotional purposes to promote the project.

Nibiischii Corporation
Region: Eeyou Istchee
Nibiischii ensures the sound management and responsible development of the Lacs Albanel-Mistassini-et-Waconichi wildlife reserve, a wildlife reserve dedicated to the conservation, enhancement and use of wildlife as well as to the practice of recreational activities. The objective of the project is to diversify the offer by developing winter products and new 4-season accommodation (Creetopias, floating cabins, etc.). Currently, Nibiischii only operates between June and September and mainly for a clientele of fishermen.

Wedge Hills Lodge offers unique and premium Arctic travel packages. The project aims to accommodate safarists and wildlife photographers, and to develop adventure activities (fatbike, bicycle fishing, packrafting), a nature camp and an Arctic Safari Eco-Lodge.

Wiinipaakw Tours Solidarity Cooperative
Region: Eeyou Istchee
The Cooperative currently offers ecotourism cruises where tourists are invited to explore Rupert Bay and its islands in the company of trained Cree staff. The project aims at offering one-day or 2-3 night stays in James Bay, with camping accommodations on the islands.
